The  Crowdfunding  is emerging since some years as an alternative method for raising finance which could be useful also in clinical trials. For those not familiar, the crowdfunding allows anyone to advertise an idea and / or a project through one of the many sites that provide this service. The sites are very similar to each other. After loading the project, this is customized by entering the amount that you want to achieve, any awards or note to thanks to promote the collection of funds (in this case we speak of reward-based crowdfunding) and last but not least, the details and the links of various social networks through which it will be possible to publicize the initiative. To summarize it in a few words, the Crowdfunding is a continuous "social experiment". Almost always, the creator of the project is unknown to the donor who freely chooses to pay a certain amount. Il Crowdfunding si sta affermando ormai da alcuni anni come uno strumento alternativo per la ricerca di finanziamenti che può tornare utile anche nell'ambito degli studi clinici. Per chi non lo conosce, il crowdfunding permette a chiunque di pubblicizzare un'idea e/o un progetto attraverso uno dei tanti siti oggi disponibili che offrono questo servizio. Le piattaforme sono molto simili tra di loro. Una volta caricato il progetto, questo viene personalizzato inserendo la cifra che si vuole raggiungere, eventuali premi o comunicazioni di ringraziamento per incentivare la raccolta dei fondi (in questo caso si parla di reward-based crowdfunding) e per ultimo, ma non meno importante, i dettagli e i link dei vari social network attraverso i quali sarà possibile far conoscere l'iniziativa.
